Tried to have breakfast this morning here and our waitress was very slow when it came to taking our order. On top of that she forgot to put our order into the kitchen. We had been sitting for 30 minutes before I asked how long till we would get our food. She went to the kitchen and informed us that we where up next. We where the only ones in this side of the restaurant and other people who came in after us got their food instantly. We ended up just walking out due to poor service. Don't go to this restaurant unless you have nothing to do all day

It's Shari's. Went on a Sunday for lunch and it was full of old people and families. We ate food. It was fine. Most of it was warmish. The salad was coolish. Kids colored on menus. Crayons broke. It's Shari's.

I really wish that I didn't love Shari's. When the service is good, it's great. There have been other times where the server treats you as if you're just nothing, and like you shouldn't eat there. Dude. If you didn't have free pie Wednesday, I promise you. I would be at Elmer's. They are nice people over there. My biggest issue is the guy manager. He is seriously a big frowny lump of patronizing glares and frowns. I don't know why because I tip your servers, and while I do have children, they aren't the annoying ones that throw crackers all over the floor and scream. My kids have restaurant etiquette, or they won't BE in the restaurant.

The only good thing they have going for them is their are a notch better than Denny's. The food was tasteless and expensive for the quality. My husband and uncle got the prime rib and it was gray in color and they said it was horrible. The waiter seemed rushed and inconvenienced to take our order. 2 of my children had chicken strips and they looked like something you would buy at the dollar store. It's disgusting. Do not come here. Go across the street to Applebee's. I only gave them 1 star because that's the lowest you can give.

Generally, really good. Cherry pie is 5 stars + Only complaint is the spinach omelet. ALMOST NO SPINACH INSIDE. Lots of cheddar cheese inside, feta cheese on top. WHERE'S THE SPINACH ?

Great Food, expert server. The Cobb Salad was delicious. Our server was very professional. Didn't have any pie. Too full. Maybe next time.

I had been to this restaurant a few years ago, and on the way through town was able to stop in and dine again. It was a pleasant experience! We had a large group, and they were very accommodating. We got a nice area with clean tables and chairs, water out for everyone and pitchers for refills. The atmosphere was perfect. Our waitress was fantastic! She was friendly, helpful, and fast. Thanks Miranda for your excellent service! Being in the restaurant business myself, I was more than impressed with her serving abilities. I would request her when I get the chance to come back to this Shari's. The food was perfectly prepared, hot and fresh. I could tell nothing had been left sitting out or in warmers. The cooks did and excellent job. Great service, great food, and a new returning customer here. Thanks Sharis!

We traveled almost 700 miles on my husband's 40th birthday, all he asked for was a piece of Chocolate Peanut Butter pie from a Sharis, the 1st location didn't have it, the 2nd I called up the road said they did, and after completely screwing up his food, didn't even have the pie to begin with. A phone call another 24 miles down the road, the gals here at Grants Pass, had it, and held onto it for us, even cut him a piece from another for him to eat here! I can't thank them enough for restoring my faith in my beloved Sharis restaurants.

Good meal at a reasonable price. I had the top sirloin with the stuffed hash browns, both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. I've eaten here several times over the years and never had a bad meal. I'd recommend this place.

Good food at reasonable prices. The Prime Rib Dip was awesome! The meat was tender and the bun was soft and buttery! Their pies are also really delicious!

Went on a vacation in grants pass, ate at Sharis and couldn't love Mary more. She was on it and funny. She knew what we wanted before we needed it. Mary gave us great ideas on what fun things to do in town also. I gave 5 stars for service only, the food was OK at best, taste like it was microwaved. We ate all over town and trust me Mary is the best server we had.

We were seated pretty quick & our waitress was great, cashier not so much. 2 of 2 meals were over-cooked, my omelette was "browned" & the wife's poached eggs were like golf balls. The kids ordered toast that came with homemade jam which was ok, so if you're looking for toast this is your place. I was really sorry that I didn't - and if I'm ever in GP again I'll back to Elmer's across the street.

Easily a three star establishment. Predictable, lots of options, breakfast any time day or night, and 24/7. I don't come to Shari's often because I am not real big on American diner style food, also not usually out late, but if it is really late and I have an appetite, this is my destination. We went to Shari's last night after a show at Applegate River Lodge (read my review on that), we got there around 1:30 am and were promptly greeted by Flanders the waitress. Lol. She is a pro and was the only waitress on staff that late on a Sunday. There were lots of people there but she kept busy and never kept us waiting. She was funny and we had clever conversation every time she came back to the table. My lady got the Cuban sandwich with fries and I got the Euro burger or something...it came on a pretzel roll with a nice serving of pastrami, Swiss cheese, dill slices, and grilled onion, and I opted for honey mustard...it was very good. I wanted onion rings at first but changed to soup...she brought out our meals pretty quickly and told me the onion rings were already in the frier so she gave them to me at no charge. Very sweet. I mentioned something to Cristina about being thirsty and Flanders was there in a moment with a refill and an extra glass of water. She has ears like a deer because she was right over immediately after I said it. We all enjoyed busting jokes on the tweakers that were there. She said "if you want a real shocker, go to the back where we have the video poker machines, watch 'em ping pong." "Ping pong?" I ask. "It's when they go back and forth interacting with the video poker machines." We went back there and oh man, spinner city. It's sad, scary, and strangely entertaining at the same time. Apparently it is tweaker paradise after two am when the Purple Parrot closes. Lol.

Shari's has an extensive menu and great customer service. The night crew are really outstanding. I come here several times a week and I would recommend the night team for excellent service and friendly old fashion smiles and top notch service!

I have gone here and the food was great, yesterday it was Meh! I ordered the Rosemary Chicken and Dumplings and it was like out of a can. Expecting something homemade it was not. Presentation was nice, in a cast iron pan. Son got Salmon with rice, he said the Salmon was good, the rice was very hard as if reheated and sat and reheated again and small portion. Other Son ordered a burger, he said it was good, fries were horrible. The pies are excellent, we even ordered a whole one to go. $50 bill! Waitress didn't pay attention to detail such as not enough tableware, but she did offer to get us more drinks. I don't think we will eat here again.

I have to give this place 2 reviews because we returned to sharis last night and the service was good enough to increase the rating up to 3 stars but I've averaged it to 2. This place is really hit and miss. i think it depends on which manager is running the shift. Every time the woman in her late 40s is working, the service is horrendous. But last night a young man was the manager . We were promptly greeted with a smile and taken straight to a table where our drinks were taken. I ordered the burger with the pretzel bread and pastrami and pickles.. OMG it was one of the best burgers i have ever eaten. My husbands meat was ordered medium but came out pretty much rare so that sucked a little but they fixed it . the food took a long time to cook but i am assuming its because it was free pie night and busy. I just wish that the service would be more reliable but i know they have multiple managers so i can't really say what kind of experience you will have except that the pie is ALWAYS delicious. BELOW IS MY OLD REVIEW GIVEN 1 STAR 9/10 times it has taken 5 to 10 minutes to even be acknowledged. You have to wait to be seated, but there is no host so you just wait and wait and wait.. Service from the waiters is typically poor. I have only had one server that was very very good and she was a woman maybe in her late 50's. Everybody else has seemed to have an attitude and they take their precious time getting drinks and refills and then when you ask them for a refill they make you feel like you're annoying them. My food order has been served cold to me on multiple occasions. I feel like most of the staff is lazy. The manager (a woman prob in her late 40's) isn't all that either. One time we stood waiting to be greeted for 10 minutes, a lot of the staff was just walking by us not even saying anything, and THEN the manager herself looked at us but didn't ask us if we had been helped. The only reason we go back is because of the coupons. The food is very good when its served hot and hasn't been in the window sitting.

Five stars for home cooked yummy meal. I had chicken and biscuits wow how great this was. The prices here are very low, $10. For dinner, excellent. Service is fast and very friendly. This is a must stop for comfort food.

My family and I stopped to have dinner here on our way out of town we had the worst service ever. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled, they for got my sons salad, my husbands food came to our table cold. To top all that off when I spoke with the manager about it all he acted as if he did not care. All he could say was "I'm sorry" with an attitude. I will never go back there again. Spend a little more and go a cross the street to Applebee's.

Right off the south exit off of Hwy 5 at Grants Pass. Okay pancake and grill franchise that's easy to access, but when they've got a BAD morning cook, watch out. I went there this week with my daughter, and we ordered the "bisquits and gravy griddle" (hey, the picture looked great - we ordered the one with hashbrowns & gravy). The gravy was too salty to eat and we had to ask for a biscuit just so we could have something of the main course that we could choke down (both of us ordered that dish). The hash browns were undercooked, and the sausages were cold. It was just past peak on a weekday morning, but the cook was obviously off his feed. The wait staff made general apologies to us but offered no real satisfaction on our complaints. I heard them excusing the food and menu to other people in adjacent booths, so I suspect it was a REALLY bad day. Very disappointing, and I'll never go back after this. Their prices are high enough that decent food for breakfast should be expected. Elmer's is right acoss the street, so Sheri's'd better watch out.

We attempted to eat at Shari's tonight. When we first walked in there were two people waiting to be seated and three people waiting in line to pay with no host or hostess in sight. A waiter kept walking by but he never acknowledged any of us. The place was not at all busy, with maybe a third of the tables occupied. It was 5-10 minutes before anyone came up to the front to help those of us waiting. We were finally seated and we waited......and waited......and waited. We had been seated in the little downstairs area. We waited another 10 minutes and still no one even bothered to offer us something to drink. We finally walked out. This is the worst service I've ever had at a Shari's. I don't understand why it was so terrible for what looked like a slow evening. We hopped across the street to Elmer's where we were immediately greeted, shown to a table and offered drinks. It will be a while before I even think of going to Shari's again.

One of the few 24-hour places in Grants Pass. Clean place and a huge menu! Food is nothing to write home about, but it's a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee or milkshake.
